Here at The Big Grey Workshop, we enjoy all things rustic; vintage; antique and quirky.

Chimney Pots are where we began, they are uniquely, crafted, imperfectly, perfect pieces of art.  Each one made by someone with care; a bygone history invoked in each different design; the culture and craft behind them is worth preserving for others.  Some have patents; designed by engineers who knew what was required of each pot for each area.  Chimney stacks and pots could be elaborate in design to signify wealth and prestige.  Chimney pots are versatile examples of craftsmanship and beauty; in the garden, as a planter; in the shed, as a tool store; in the house, as a brolly stand or simply as a statement piece of architecture from a past now gone.

 

We have always loved renovating and recycling, salvaging seemed an obvious next step.  So now we have built and created a collection of quirky, useful items.  The stock is dynamic; purchases are of items we like the look of and hope you will too.
